Slime is an Anagram of Smile
I was ecstatic when the San Beda Red Lions won the NCAA Mens Basketball Championship. Finally. Though my college team is part of the UAAP camp - proud Fighting Maroons - I was also an ardent follower of the oldest collegiate body.
I prayed for the Red Lions because:
1. of Koy Banal - an excellent defense-oriented coach
2. excellent rookies deserve basketball glory
3. I do not approve of Gabby Espinas' confidence a.k.a. kayabangan
I was scared during the dying seconds...they almost succumbed to JC Castro's heart.
But the trophy was destined to be cradled by the Bedans.
However, as the celebration started, I saw a quite familiar illustration - A SMILEY WITH A MOUSTACHE.
Where have I seen that?
Right. Caloocan.
It's the freakin' alter ego of Mayor Enrico Echiverri.
I don't mind that he supports his alma mater by providing placards and cut-outs BUT campaigning in the middle of a do-or-die championship match?
It reeked with so much political slime that it almost wiped the smile in my face.

this is exactly the kind of early campaigning that's gotten me so sickened. i hope we can find a way to penalize this sort of bullshit. but, whatever that way is, we'll have to apply it to everyone, regardless of what side we're on.
i most definitely agree with you!
